White Bellied Treepie

The White bellied Treepie belongs to the crow family endemic to the forests of southern India, especially the western Ghats. The bird has a lovely long glossy tail, rich colors on the black and a super white belly as the name suggest. They overlap in distribution in some areas with the rufous treepie but are easily differentiated from appearance and their calls. These treepie mainly prefer dense forests and not so much associated in human habitation. They feed on fruits, seeds, nectar., invertebrates, reptiles, rodents, nestlings and eggs.
