Malabar Parakeet
Blue-winged Parakeet also known as the Malabar Parakeet is a species of parakeet endemic to the Western Ghats of Southern India. Found in small flocks, they fly rapidly in forest clearings while making screeching calls. They eat fruits and grains. Its intelligent eyes , framed by distinctive black markings, possess a knowing glint that hints at the secrets of the forest inhabits. Its emerald-green plumage, reminiscent of the verdant landscapes it calls home, shimmers in the sunlight as if adorned with precious gems. The feathers are enlivened with delicate brushstrokes of turquoise and cobalt that embellish its wings and tails. creating a symphony of colors that evokes a sense of wonder.
