Great Eared Nightjar

The great eared nightjar aka Dragon Bird. Habitat is South Asia and Southeast Asia, SriLanka, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or moist lowland tropical forests.

Great eared nightjars prey on a variety of flying insects, like moths and beetles. These birds were named in the 17th-century because they were active at night and make a jarring noise.
